The Storage Administrator is a member of the Storage and Backup Team reporting to the Technical Support Manager. Responsible for the management, support and development of centralised storage and backup for UNIX and Windows based operating systems. They will monitor system availability, performance and capacity planning across specified platforms, as directed. This will also involve investigating new releases of supported software and recommending migration actions, where applicable. To ensure that all changes/ work requests are Planned, Managed and actioned relating to SAN/ NAS/ Centralised Backup. Liaison with other ES teams as required. Liaison with 3rd parties as required. Support: Technical support of storage environments: IBM DS8300 and DS4700 SAN
