This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of claims and dispute resolution cases for a leading building services and construction consultancy. They are seeking a Senior Claims consultant with a Quantity Surveying/ Commercial background with working knowledge of the adjudication process and an all round knowledge of construction law. The successful candidate will be based at their offices in Nottingham.


<b><u>Who They are Looking for.</ b></ u>

The senior claims consultant will have significant experience on the preparation of both commercial and complex claims and a Quantity Surveying or commercial background.

It would also be desirable if the candidate had one or more of the following: Relevant Construction Degree Msc Construction Law / LLB, MCIARB.

Candidates with practical experience of fund monitoring, due diligence, contract administration, employers agent would be advantageous.

There is also the potential in the future for the right individual, with the right ability and industry contacts, to progress into a management position where more responsibility will be given to develop and manage a claims team of their own.


<b><u>The Role of the Senior Claims Consultant</ b></ u>

The role will involve the preparation of, or defence, of claims for extension of time, loss and expense, disruption and acceleration; Preparation of contract documentation (excluding the drafting of bespoke contract conditions); The provisions of advice on a variety of matters including procurement routes, contract choice and dispute resolution procedures; The provision of advice on contractual notices; The drafting of contractual notices; The representation of either the referring or responding parties to adjudications; Activities associated with quantum assessments in litigation or arbitration; The provision of strategic and commercial advice to clients regarding the management of disputes.

The role will involve travel to various clients based throughout the UK when necessary.
