Our client in Cambridge require a contract SQL Server 2005 DBA/ Systems Admin to join a busy project in the telecoms industry. Essentially you will have excellent knowledge in SQL Server 2005 DBA (database administration) and Windows Server 2003 system administration and have experience of working in large critical business systems. Ideally you will have MCDBA certification or be part way through the exams. Also experience of working in an Agile development environment and have financial systems experience would be advantageous.
Duties will involve managing the development servers and commercially run rack space services, assist with testing support maintenance, optimisation analysis of the database, support adhoc reporting and open support requests from county managers. May involve being on-call depending on how projects progresses. Please send CV
