Systems engineer for next gen wireless communication products. Candidates will have experience developing L1 & L2 Systems for LTE, WCDMA/ HSPA/ HSPA+, WiMAX, etc. Implementation skills in C/ C++ for embedded targets, RTOS, profiling, tools, ARM & DSP Architectures.

Senior Algorithms developer sought for a large and well respected company based in East Anglia to develop the next generation of wireless communications algorithms.

The successful candidate will derive system requirements from 3GPP technical standards and product specifications, perform complexity analysis of HSPA+ and LTE access stratum components and to drive system partitioning and optimisation and work closely with implementation teams on systems and software architecture.

Candidates will have the following :

Good understanding of L1 & L2 of wireless standards, preferably: LTE,WCDMA/ HSPA/ HSPA+

Implementation Experience: (C/ C++, Embedded software development - RTOS, profiling, tools, ARM, DSP

Systems modelling and simulation - investigate and trade-off functionality, performance, power, cost

Experience in hardware/ software partitioning of algorithms for low-power systems a plus

Also of interest are skills in some of the following areas
- Linux / Windows - Perl / scripting languages - Software configuration management - A sound mathematical background
