Oracle Database Design Lead Engineer - Security Cleared
We are looking for a highly experienced Oracle Database designer to provide technical leadership of the database engineering organisation of a £multi million government programme. The database lead engineer will provide technical leadership for the database architecture , development and administration of a large database with mission critical applications.
Working closely with other teams in software engineering, performance specialists and systems administrators, you will provide leadership and direction of engineers. Within the role you will be able to grow professionally and work with state-of-the-art database technologies.
The successful Oracle Database designer will have a degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline and OCP (Oracle Certified Professional) accreditation. Ideally you will have SC Security clearance currently, but if not then you must be eligible with a minimum of 5 years residency in the UK.
You must have demonstrable experience in database design and development within Oracle on at least one major programme.
Candidates should have expert knowledge of Oracle Physical data modelling, performance tuning, and diagnostics. Knowledge of at least some of the following is essential: Oracle 9i, 10g database, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Oracle Replication, Advanced Queuing, Oracle Utilities, Real Application Clusters (RAC)
You will be an excellent communicator and a strong leader with the desire to pass on your technical expertise and deal with problem resolution effectively.
