LEAD UNIX ANALYST / DEVELOPER - INVESTMENT BANKING - LONDON

My Client, a Leading Investment Bank, has an urgent requirement for a highly skilled UNIX Analyst / developer.
This is a high level position which will see you take a lead role in the global development team working on all aspects of the development lifecycle. This will include:
- Requirements gathering,
- Technical analysis/ design,
- Development,
- Testing and deployment to the production environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will be required to build the global team and help drive delivery of a significant book-of-work for 2008 including some major changes to the system.
- Being a client-facing role you will need to build a good understanding of the business supported and work closely with business change teams and Product Controllers directly in London and the Far East
- Interact daily with Singapore based support / development staff and be the escalation point for production issues where necessary.
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
Essential
• Solid experience of UNIX, Shell Scripting, Perl, Sybase
• GUI development
• IT related degree or equivalent
• Banking or Financial Services IT support/ development experience.
• Full lifecycle structured development projects.
• Able to take responsibility for resolution of production support issues including good troubleshooting/ analysis skills.
Desirable
• Experience working on Product Control P&L systems.
• Exposure to SOX IT controls.
• Powerbuilder7+ front-end development
• Control-M
• ClearCase
