IT Business Development major required for leading IT Service Provider based in Newcastle upon Tyne.

It is expected the successful applicant will have a proven track record in developing relationships within a business to business environment with specific emphasis on IT solutions. Proven ability to engage at a senior level with both customers and prospects. A broad understanding and interest in IT solutions ranging from ERP and CRM solutions and how these are applied to business requirements to knowledge of the internet, intranet and e-commerce solutions. Sound understanding of the process of delivering IT solutions.

The role is not a commissioned sales role nor does it involve closing opportunities. The purpose of the role is to make contact with prospects, recognise opportunities, be able to describe and evangelise the clients services and discuss how these services would be applied in business as well as the associated benefits. Once interest has been gained then you would hand over to a consultancy led team that would look to produce the proposal and close the opportunity.
