This is a superb opportunity for the right individual to join a dedicated web development team in a specialist tour operator.

You will be working on the design and development of cutting edge, customer-facing travel websites as well as on internal applications used daily by our employees and suppliers. You will bridge the gap between our team of in-house .NET developers and our content editors, designing and developing pages and functionality for our websites and online applications.

Attributes / Skills:
You will be a self-starter with a flair for innovation and always looking to push the boundaries of web design and development. You will have a demonstrable portfolio of previous work showing a very high level of design and a thorough understanding of issues regarding website usability. You will display a keen interest in the latest trends in web design and development techniques and languages.

Day to day you will be responsible for reviewing website usability and user experience by optimising and refining page layout and design; analysing our visitor statistics to identify usability issues; producing design proposals and final graphics to improve existing and create new sections of the site; designing HTML email shots; coding the agreed designs and page elements into the framework of our website content management system (often in co-operation with our web developers); delivering new functionality to make our websites better.

Excellent cross-browser CSS/ XHTML skills are required, especially focusing on table-less layout and separation of presentation from content. Strong Javascript/ DOM scripting manipulation skills will be required.

Essential
