Responsibilities
Develop and maintain database build standards for Oracle (primarily) and Sybase/ SQL Server, including how applications should be installed for both client access and server.

Extensive experience administrating / Oracle 9i, 10g RDBMS
RMAN
Oracle DataGuard
Oracle RAC
Oracle ETL tools
PL SQL Scripting
Unix Shell scripting
Experience of working in a high availability Production environment
Solid problem solving skills.
Ability to deliver service excellence with minimum supervision.
Experience of supporting highly available, business critical systems in a financial environment.
Solid understanding and experience of Best Practice Frameworks and Standards.
Very strong technical skill set is required to provide service delivery (typically holding certification).
Ability to Build and develop sustainable and repeatable processes to ensure the resilience and availability of systems. Identifying opportunities for improvement that will enable a better level of service or cost saving.
Strong persuading and influencing skills.
Excellent communication skills.
