Systems Engineer
Our client is a world leader in communications, data management and optics and supplies products to customers in the defence sector on an international scale. Our client is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to be responsible for medium size work packages within a programme, ensuring that risks are managed effectively, resulting in the successful implementation of design and development work at system level.
Systems Engineer responsibilities:
+ Understand customer needs and translate to full requirements followed by requirements analysis and flow down to subcontract documentation
+ Manage subcontractor from a technical view point and understand their true state of progress
+ Create validation and verification criteria with tractability data, such that equipment can be accepted and handed over through formal acceptance processes to customer
+ Produce designs to meet customer requirements and provide support to the engineering manager
Systems Engineer experience required:
+ Technically competent in core area of communication systems
+ Significant experience of engineering on a small-to-medium sized programmes, or a few large programmes
+ Fully proficient in the use of all relevant engineering tools
+ Able to effectively manage project tasks and/ or staff allocated
+ Able to contribute to design audits and assist in the management of projects
Candidates must have, or be eligible to obtain, UK SC security clearance
A salary of £40,000 is accompanied by a competitive salary.
