Suitable skills include: digital, IC, SoC, ASIC, FPGA, silicon, RTL, VHDL, Verilog, verification, synthesis, Synopsys, DesignCompiler, Place and Route, P&R, PnR, layout, Unix, Linux, scripting, physical verification, LVS, DRC, ERC, semiconductor.

World leading electronics company based in central Bristol seeks an experienced ASIC Design Engineer to join its expanding Silicon team. Here you will be in charge of the execution and development of an implementation design flow from RTL to Layout on leading edge DSM technologies.

The right candidate will be degree-qualified in Microelectronics / Computer Science or relevant subject, with a strong background in the following:

-Front-end ASIC design - RTL, VHDL/ Verilog
-The full life-cycle of a standard-cell SoC
-Synthesis using industry standard tools eg. Synopsys
-Physical verification (DRC, ERC, LVS) would be a plus

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, technically inquisitive, with an excellent approach to problem solving. This opportunity offers fantastic scope for career progression and some international travel may also be involved.
