2nd / 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer required by a market leading finance company based in Norwich. The successful applicant will report directly to the IT Infrastructure Manager whilst providing customer focused support functions across the business. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to work with users on support issues alongside a variety of business requirements through to the implementation of 3rd line solutions. The following technical skills are essential: Windows 2008 server alternatively 2003 server (MCSE preferred - not essential), expertise with Active Directory (to include group policy etc.). In addition to the above the following are required; VMware VI3 and a solid appreciation of networking (Cisco router / Switch configuration), Exchange 2003, SAN Knowledge, Checkpoint / ISA firewalls (installation & troubleshooting), MS SQL, HP/ DELL, Symantec Backup, Ghost and PGP Encryption. Various forthcoming and existing projects will allow applicants to gain experience with the bonus skills if experience is lacking. Applicants will ideally be educated to degree level (not essential) and will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position will suit an applicant that has a proven background delivering 2nd and 3rd level Infrastructure support across an MS server environment.
