Software Licensing Manager to provide winning licensing recommendations and bids across the spectrum of our software vendors into our corporate, mid market and reseller account base to establish our clients position as trusted advisor for software licensing by being the leading selector, negotiator and provider of software, ensuring any recommendations are best in class and reflect commercial and strategic priorities for customers. This role will be based within software services (£220m turnover) and the location with be the North of England and Home based with some time in our clients nearest office (offices UK wide). You are likely to be out and about 2-3 days per week. This is a commercial – i.e. cost modelling, recommendations, how best purchase licences etc. You will be providing neutral advice - so this is NOT hard sales. The successful Candidate must be sales and objectives focused and used to using their own initiative with a detailed knowledge of nominated ‘Champion' vendors licensing schemes. You will have demonstrable experience as an Account Manager or similar direct client facing role and have a good knowledge of issues surrounding software legality and compliance (SAM). You should have experience of presenting effectively to small groups and clients with clear verbal and written communication skills, able to evidence proposal writing experience. You will ideally be accredited in software licencing (MCP for Microsoft), poss other vendors like Adobe, Oracle, Symantec, Citrix, IBM.
