Business Analyst Brussels Murex derivatives Foreign Exchange Money Market

We are looking for a Business Analyst expert in the Foreign Exchange Money Market area who ideally would be familiar with Murex (AND EVEN BETTER, cALYPSO).

The project takes place in Belgium, Brussels.
This should be long term, the first contract is 6 months.

Ideally, the consultant (he/ she) should speak perfect English. French and/ or Dutch are valuable assets.

we are looking for a business analyst, able to design precise and clear functional specifications to developers.
One of the big part of the project will consist of a migration from the system of the subsidiary to the client system.

Below are more formal job specs.

Being part of the team responsible for the integration of "Subsidiary" Forex and Money Market activities into the "CLIENT" organization you are responsible to deliver the functional requirements for the migration.

The products you are responsible for belong to the Foreign Exchange and Money Markets asset classes (cash).

You are the business reference for the IS team. You help the IS developers and integrators to understand the new business requirements and to answer all their functional questions.

Therefore, you need to have a good knowledge of the related products and of the needs of the end-users.
You work together with the development team helping the developers to implement/ migrate the system in a way it ensures a smooth integration of the "Subsidiary" activities.

You are the interface between the developers and the business-users.

EXPECTED PROFILE / SKILLS

- University degree or Master, with at least two years relevant experience.
- You have a good knowledge of financial products (dealing rooms) for Forex and/ or Money Markets.
- You have a good knowledge of Murex as front-end system for the mentioned asset classes
- You have a good knowledge of integration solutions (message based middleware, XML, etc.)
- You are very proactive, dynamic, and autonomous. Excellent team player; you have good verbal communication skills.


You will be part of the team Global Markets Forex and Money Markets integration project related to the recent take-over of "subsidiary".

As Business Analyst you will study and define the functional requirements in order to support:
- gap analysis between current "subsidiary" and "client" environments:
- Products
- Clients
- Application
- Process

- interfacing "subsidiary" Murex platform and "client" in house developed platform:
- Based on the Fortis communication architectures
- Message based middleware
- XML
- link "subsidiary" front-end applications to "client" Risk engines (adaptive) and data warehouse
- link "Client" Price feeds to "subsidiary" front-end platforms (Murex)
- migration to an intermediate common platform
- Reference data
- Deal migration
- migration to target architecture : Front-end : Murex / Back-end : Calypso
