Support Analyst / Programmer with experience of Visual Basic / VB.Net required for a role with a leading software specialist provider based in York. The successful candidate must have experience within both a support and development role, and have knowledge of Visual Basic and VB.Net. You should have experience working within a .Net environment and have knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL and Access. It would also be an advantage if you had experience with 4GL's, SQL Stored Procedures, and Vista / XP / Unix. The role involves providing support for both internal and external customers, testing both released and re-released products and being involved with development of large projects (VB.Net related). You must be a team player, self-motivated, hard-working and have a methodical approach to your work. Ideally you will come from a computer science background and hold a similar degree - although this is not essential.
