Test development engineer sought by first class cambridge based wirelessc ommunciations compnay developing wireless/ femtocell modems. Candidates will have some test devlopment expereince and be familiar with a range of technologies from 3G, UMTS, to TCP/ IP and VoIP. Cambridge test position.
Great opportunity to join a first class organisation developing wireless communications modems for the major mobile operators around the world. This development site has the look and feel of an exciting start-up with the backing and support of a large multinational.
The successful applicant will be tasked with improving our client's products through development of software that automates some of the testing and through performing testing, raising and track issues, liasing with software developers and Architects on features and issues, writing test documentation, etc
Required Skills
o IP networking
o Computer skills (Linux, Windows, Word, Excel), intermediate level
o Visual Basic or similar scripting language
o Test equipment experience
o Bug tracking experience
o Writing software interfaces to test equipment
Specialized Knowledge will include some of the following:
o GPIB interface usage experience
o Knowledge of 3G
o Knowledge of RF
o Familiar with AT commands
o VoIP technologies
o Communications technologies - PSTN, IP, PABX, GSM, ADSL.
