A highly successful business is currently seeking an experienced support engineer to join their ranks. This role presents the perfect opportunity for the successful candidate to build upon their existing skills and experience from within a supportive organisation, geared towards continued success in their market.
The successful candidate will be required to provide support to the user base across the Cambridge region. Day to day tasks will include:

Supporting a range of clients by receiving, logging and investigating technical queries.
Administration and maintenance of client’s internal IT systems.
Provide telephone and desktop support to client’s end users.
Updating and maintaining IS asset records
Ensuring end user problems are dealt with promptly
Maintaining the security of client networks, including anti-virus and patch management.
The successful candidate will display strength in the following areas:

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Small Business Server, including Active Directory, Group Policies, Exchange Server and WSUS.
Experience in supporting end users with Windows XP/ Vista and Microsoft Office.
Good understanding of network security issues and anti-virus products
Good understanding of network architectures and protocols.
Hands on knowledge of the procedures used in the installation, modification maintenance and repair of IT hardware and software.
This role will involve driving to client sites on a regular basis, so a full driving licence is essential.
