The requirement is for an experienced BW SAP developer to work within the Core Development team, providing a service to several client locations world wide across Financial Control and other Logistics areas. The SAP implementation is principally Financials (FI/ CO, with Business Warehouse) and also uses MM (Purchasing), Project System, and Plant Maintenance. Immediate tasks for the candidate will be BW support and enhancements.

This role is for a person who is capable of developing business-critical software in an environment that requires flexibility and high productivity. The ability to produce highly efficient programs to process large volumes of data is a key element of the requirement. This role will 100% directed towards Business Warehouse development with the occasional BW ABAP assignments when requirements arise.

Essential:
•At least 4 years experience with SAP BW versions BI7 and 3.5, with at least 3 full lifecycle implementations.
•Strong knowledge of the ABAP development workbench and be comfortable in writing new programs and debugging current developments.
•Strong experience of BPS/ SEM under version BI7 to configure and implement transactional Cubes and the planning area under these modules.
•Strong knowledge of WEB reporting through deployment of both standard reports and developments through the Web Application Designer.
•Excellent knowledge of BEX queries. Able to articulate and implement complex reporting scenarios through the use of conditions, exceptions, variables, formula, structures, restricted/ calculated KF.
•Set-up and automation of Process chains essential. Integration with external batch schedulers like Autosys advantageous.
•Setup of extractors into BW from SAP R/ 3, External Oracle9i and 10g Databases. Experience of real time extractors advantageous.
•Strong knowledge of Performance / Tuning to better enable both data into and reportable from SAP Business Warehouse (Indexes, Aggregates, NO Range Buffering, RSRV, BIA).
•Set-up of the Open Hub extractions and processing under BI7.
•Loading of Transactional and Masterdata (time dependant attributes/ hierarchies) from flat, R/ 3 and external DB.
•BW Load Monitoring and troubleshooting on all aspects related to getting data into the warehouse.
•Involvement in all phases of the project lifecycle (from analysis and specification through to testing and deployment) but with the emphasis on SAP systems development
•Contribute to projects being on schedule and meeting client requirement and needs.
•Work with a demanding User base, being capable of communicating on the Users' terms.
