My client, a prestigious financial organisation seeks a .Net Systems Support Analyst to provide live service support to the company's downstream systems. Main responsibilities include investigating and managing issues, performing batch and operational tasks, system monitoring and administration, design and code bug fixes/ enhancements. A good understanding of functional and technical knowledge of the systems, architecture and infrastructure is required for this role.
Main Responsibilities:
-Provide live service support (2nd- and 3rd-line) for .NET systems.
-Manage own work queue and respond to business user issues and queries.
-Perform batch and operational tasks using management systems and toolsets.
-Design and code bug fixes and enhancements, and perform regression tests for major deployments.
-Monitor real-time and batch processes.
-Carry out proactive and reactive actions and escalate accordingly to suggest and promote preventative maintenance activities.
-Create, update and maintain service line documentation and operation manuals.
-Become functionally and technically conversant with the application in order to provide on-call support.
-Attend Overnight Review Meetings to discuss overnight issues and remedial actions.
-Provide system statistics and metrics.
-Use SQL Server database query tools.
Profile:
-Experience in supporting live service applications.
-Proven experience in technical investigations and problem analysis.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-Competent in a high pressure environment.
-Ability to learn and adapt to changing environments.
-Ability to acquire good functional and technical knowledge of systems and applications.
-Experience of in the following technologies (in order of priority): .NET / C# / ASP, SQL Server 2000, IIS, Windows Server 2000/ 2003.
