Solution Developer
Reporting to the IT Manager and working in close liaison with the senior Solution Developer you will be responsible for supporting the my clients websites and related client websites.

The main responsibilities include:
Design, develop and maintain new and existing websites, liaising with relevant clients and staff. Support the client billing process by keeping accurate records relating to client work and provide timely billing reports.
In liaison with the senior Solution Developer to provide information to the IT Manager to support the process of producing guidelines, policies and procedures for the efficient running of web services.

Provide support and administration of the membership record system database.
Design, develop and maintain dataset objects (stored procedures, views, functions etc).
Develop and maintain intranet based membership reports.
Liaise with other teams to establish initial project requirements.
Provide briefings to staff and work with freelance developers as appropriate.
Research new technology with a view to improving existing services and developing new services for existing websites and IT systems.
Keep good records, including change control documentation for IT and Communication systems.
Contribute to the maintenance and development of IT strategies, procedures and policies for the efficient running of IT services.
Provide clear and informative reports and statistics to clients and staff.
Assist staff in other departments on projects, which require similar skills.
When required, to supplement the front-line support team, provide 1st and 2nd line support of IT and communication systems to staff as a member of the IT team, ensuring that IT support is available from 9-5pm Monday to Friday.
In collaboration with the IT team, review suppliers and service support organisations.
Design and develop graphic material for use in adverts etc.
Continue to enhance web development skills in line with the business needs and as advised by the IT Manager and senior Solution Developer.
Any other duties as required.

The essential technical skills required for role are:
MS SQL server 2000
ASP.NET, JavaScript
HTML

Ideally also looking for candidates with experience of:
Development of .NET assemblies
Development experience of 1.0 and 2.0 of the .NET framework
MS SQL server 2000 and 2005
SharePiont
ASP, ASP.NET (C#, VB.NET)
Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Flash
HTML, XML, XSL
JavaScript
SSL
IIS 6.0
