Senior Technical Project Manager - Microsoft Infrastructure - up to £100,000
We have an urgent requirement for a highly technical Senior Project Manager to work for a thriving solutions organisation who are part of a high profile defence project.
As a Senior Project Manager you will be happy working within a matrix management environment and be competent discussing a variety of enterprise technology solutions almost to the level of a Technical Architect. You will be the project lead for the ICT infrastructure and the rollout of the agreed solution across multiple UK MoD and Government sites. You will have a history of managing multiple or large scale enterprise wide ICT projects within the defence industry. You will be effective at integrating new and legacy systems.
Technically you will be up to date with Microsoft (Active Director) and Cisco server technologies encompassing project management of server architecture design and implementation, server clustering, replication and archiving, networking, data storage, back-ups, firewalls, security – military and civilian compliancy etc.
You will be Prince 2 or APM accredited and will have demonstrable experience of Working closely with technical architects and project engineers you will be at the forefront of engaging stakeholders, presenting to the PFI board, managing budgets, analysing commercial risks using tools such as PRAM, managing Earned Value etc.
Additionally you will be up to date with various defence / government tools and standards such as INFOSEC, MODAF, JSP 440, ICDs, IERs etc. From a defence Project Management background you will most likely be Security Cleared and may even be a Chartered Engineer!
