My Client, a multimillion pound turnover Plc undergoing a major IT Transformation programme, has an outstanding opportunity for a Solutions Architect.
As a Solutions Architect you will be responsible for providing requirements to Enterprise Architects that drive strategic direction for business, application, information, technology architectures and partnering with Enterprise Architects for specific sub-domains (e.g. Applications Architecture, Information Architecture) in support of solution definition and development.
The ideal candidate will have good understanding of Retail/ Supply Chain Management, the Architectural/ Solutions development cycle including Requirements Management and Software Development approaches, a deep understanding of technologies used by the Retail Industry business specifically one or more of the following:
Portal solutions and frameworks, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), integration patterns, application adapters, Business rules engines, Enterprise content management, Reference or industry data models, Business Process Management and Workflow and Master Data Management.
Within the solution development lifecycle, this role will be responsible for solution evaluation and selection in a predominantly COTS environment, effective utilisation of the Oracle Retail and eBusiness suites, early-phase project estimates which contribute to the business case, and high level design.
