Based NEAR BRISTOL, this is a very exciting C Development role where you will be working on Telecomms type of ATCA Blade-based Systems under LINUX (Red Hat (RHEL) or Carrier Grade SuSE Linux).
Any ATCA installation can grow into some very large (literally 10's of Thousands of CPU Cores) Systems...
It is paying a superb package of £50,000pa basic + pension + bonus + full package of other benefits...
You should have Diagnostics Software experience, working specifically in C under Linux... ATCA Systems can be configured as Nodes or Switch Blades and can be inter-connected in a variety of ways to form HPC Clusters.
The typical ATCA applications are Telecomms Switching, Interactive Media, VoD / Live recording and other related services...
Experience of programming ATCA Systems (or of any Multo-Node / Multi-CPU / Multi-Core Systems (especially any pipelining, Message-Passing, VIA, Multi-Threading experience or 'shared-memory' expertise) could be useful.
You will require a good knowledge of Linux and C Development and some Linux Kernel-level / Device-Driver knowledge.
