Global plc based in Hull/ York urgently requires a Service Desk Manager to manage a region of the global Service Desk Organisation, the successful candidate will have a Degree or qualification in an IT related discipline or equivalent technical and business experience, some project management experience with a strong focus on delivery, IS managerial experience; with specific experience in Service Desk and Desktop Support processes and managing remote team members, a solid background in Service Desk strategy and regional/ global implementations, a Good understanding of managing and monitoring Service Level Agreements with customers and suppliers, Excellent customer service, problem solving and conflict resolution skills, proven team player with outstanding interpersonal and communication (written & oral) skills, experience of cross functional working and cultural sensitivity, Ability to motivate others to perform above normal expectations, Ability to manage multiple issues at one time with exceptional follow through and ideally a ITIL Foundation certified required and ITIL Service Desk certification preferred.The job holder must be able to manage a regional, multi-cultural, virtual team of experienced technical staff. His/ her direct reports and staff will be responsible for delivering high quality, on budget, within schedule technology enabled business solutions as part of a global shared service.
