A market leading Global FMCG in the Midlands would urgently like to hear from Analyst Programmers / Developers with proven recent experience of developing AS/ 400 based business solutions using RPG ( RPGIV / RPG400 / RPGILE / CL ) to work on exciting new Bespoke Development projects. Any exposure to Supply Chain software packages would help secure your interview but is not essential (e.g JDA / JD Edwards / PkMS / Manhattan WmoS etc ). We would expect the successful candidate to have considerable experience of developing AS/ 400 based business solutions, especially using RPG IV, RPG400, RPGILE, CL, along with an understanding of AS/ 400 database structures. Any experience of PDM, SEU, SDA, RLU, Turnover, Query and SQL would also be an advantage, as would experience of using PC based office tools like MS Office, XL, Word, Outlook and Visio. The position will involve writing and testing program code according to supplied business and technical requirements adhering to their development standards, Perform necessary Analysis of business requirements; Propose and design suitable technical solutions; Carry out unit and system testing; Prepare technical and/ or user facing documentation as required and liaise with users at all levels, and provide support as required.
