Software Developer/ Engineer - OpenVMS/ C/ C++/ GUI/ .NET/ IP - £42k plus benefits
A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Software Developer/ Engineer to work alongside the existing design/ development teams on C/ C++ real time application for an OpenVMS environment or C/ C++ application development for Windows.
Some of your key activities will include software design; design specification; designing, developing and testing code and configuration of the product including training.
We are looking for applicants with the following essential skills:
- C/ C++ real time application development for an OpenVMS environment OR
- C/ C++ application development in Windows
In addition to the above skills, you must have experience in two or more of the following areas:
- Graphical User Interfaces using IDE (Visual Studio/ .NET (dot net)
- Web Server development using PHP/ AJAX
- Networking/ Comms (TCP/ IP, PSTN, GSM, 3G, GPRS)
- SQL
- GIS/ Visualisation tools
- SNMP Management and MIBs
This is a newly created role within the department.
