CCNP 3rd Line Support Engineer Midlands to £35k
A major midlands-based supplier of business communication solutions seeks a 3rd level engineer to join their growing team. Working in a Solihull office location, you will manage and maintain existing LAN based Cisco equipment, to include layer 2 and layer 3 devices. You will offer input and guidance on Network security to customers and suppliers and control 3rd party suppliers relating to network services. You will be the key interface with primary network and LAN service providers and suppliers for the business.
Candidates for this role must have previous experience in a 3rd line role and must have full CCNP accreditation. You will also be responsible for providing a high level of support on Microsoft platforms so MCP accreditation or above (MCSE) is also required. In terms of your experience you must have previously supported LAN based network services such as VLAN configuration, Inter VLAN routing, Layer 3 Routing via WAN based services Internet VPN and MPLS VPN as well as Active Directory experience at a 3rd line level.
Any experience with Firewalls, eg Cisco Pix, Checkpoint, etc, and network security, is highly advantageous. Good communication skills are a must and will ensure a fast trak career path'.
Within this role you will be exposed to Network Design, Implementation, configuration etc. The company is growing rapidly so there will be opportunities to move into design and consultancy as the company continues to expand.
The salary on offer is £30 36k + on-call and bonus. Some infrequent travel is required.
