My client is is a leading betting exchange, looking for a dedicated professional to work in a team of Java and C++ developers. The role will consist of building highly scaleable database systems to support a highly transactional games platform.
Required:
Advanced SQL and PL/ SQL Development.
High performance SQL as well as PL/ SQL and in-depth tuning of both
Oracle 10g or 9i features
Source code control (SourceSafe, CVS, Perforce …)
Desirable:
Experience of working with OLTP systems
Knowledge of performance monitoring using in-depth Oracle features
Oracle instance tuning
Understanding of gambling / gaming systems.
JDBC
Agile Development methodologies.
Defect tracking systems (PVCS, TestTrack, JIRA … ).
