Our client, located near Brussels is searching for a few Specialist in System Engineering to reinforce one of their teams.
Job Purpose and Scope Purpose:
As Responsible for desktop Client Infrastructure for Europe you deliver/ provide:
- Definition and maintenance of PC European standards (hardware & software)
- Support to local migration projects
- Selection and implementation of tools to reduce the workload related to the management of a large PC population (software image & distribution, inventory tools, ...)
- Support European PC and printer procurement contract
Best practises implementation on desktop security
Coordination of local technical projects related to Lan / PC Management
Back-up of European Telecom Administrator
Job Description
Working under the direction of the European Office Automation & Telecommunication Manager, his/ her main accountabilities will be:
- Periodic release (half a year) of an updated version of the European standards for PC fully agreed by all involved parties
- Selection and implementation of productivity tools to improve the global management of the European PC population
- Support to the PC and printers European procurement contract to assure local PC coordinator & IT managers satisfaction and adhesion
- Propose security measures to protect our PC population from security threats
- Support local companies on office automation projects to assure that the selected solution is the most efficient and is compliant with European standards.
Experience and other Requirements
- Engineering or graduate degree in IT
- 3 to 5 years professional experience working on a similar position in a European Office Automation Department
- Experience on local area network and on Wide area network working with Cisco equipment
- Good communication skills
- Customer oriented
- Pro-active, Autonomous
- Fluently speaking English; other European language is an asset
- Likes working in a multinational, multicultural environment
