Our client is one of the leading defence consultancies and they are looking to recruit a Software Engineer to develop real-time embedded software solutions.
The successful Software Engineer should have the following essential skills:
• sufficient experience of developing real-time embedded software solutions in ‘C';
•Experience of one or more defence/ aerospace standards (DO-178B, Def Stan 00-56, IEC61508).
•The candidate should be able to develop software solutions in accordance with the business/ contract requirements. This will involve all phases on the software life-cycle from requirements capture to maintenance.
The candidate will be expected to work as part of a team and must be able to manage their individual project tasks as well as provide accurate estimates and technical responses for future bids, provide technical support to Sales and Marketing and occasionally make presentations to both internal and external customers.
It would be desirable, but not essential that the Software Engineer has experience of some of the following:-
•CAN, (CANopen, MilCAN, J1939);
•TTA, TTP, TTPtools
•Ethernet, TCP/ IP, UDP/ IP, VME, 1553
•Freescale HC(S)12, PowerPC, MPC555, FGPA processor core(s);
•RTOS experience (VxWorks, Windows CE);
•SCADE;
•C#, C++, UML
•Basic understanding of electronics suitable for diagnosing faulty during hardware/ software integration;
Rate - £33 - £36 p/ h
Duration – 3 moths interim +
Availability - ASAP
