A prestigious Financial Software House is looking for a bright, enthusiastic candidate to work as a database DBA within their fast growing risk model development team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience in database design and SQL programming and a 1st or 2.1 degree with excellent A-levels (A at Maths or equivalent).
To be considered you must have:
* Experience in Database design
* At least 2 years proven record in SQL development
* Knowledge of SQLServer 2005
* Knowledge of stored procedures and query optimisation
* Knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: Java, C++, Perl
In addition, exposure to one or more of the following will be an advantage: SQLServer Reporting Services, MySQL, XML.
You will be working within a team of database developers and software engineers with main focus the handling and manipulation of financial data, database design and implementation. Additional responsibilities will include support, maintenance, and database monitoring. An appreciation of financial and mathematical concepts is required as well as the interest to keep up-to date with new technologies.
