A leading financial services organisation based in Gloucestershire requires temporary technicians with hardware – PCs/ thin client and desktop support experience within Windows XP, 2000 and MS Office.
You will be working within a current desktop support team of 4 responsible for providing support to 350 users. You will have demonstrable commercial experience with hardware support (IBM Think Pads, Dell PCs & various peripherals such as multi-functional printers/ scanners), Wyse thin client, desktop / software support – MS Windows XP, Windows 2000, MS Office 2000 & 2003 and various bespoke financial applications.
You must have worked previously within a Windows domain environment utilising Active Directory. Additional knowledge and understanding of TCP/ IP is essential. Due to additional project work you will also be involved in terminal builds with Wyse thin client technology and virtual desktop support within VMware.
