Project Manager
Our client are a world leader in the design, manufacture and operation of high performance small satellites. Today they employ 230 staff and has launched 27 small satellite missions, making it the most successful and experienced small satellite supplier in the world. Our client is seeking a project manager to manage satellite mission projects or key aspects of a project from contract start through to delivery in orbit and operations.
Project Manager responsibilities
+ To be responsible for all aspects of the project or part of a project within the established procedures & processes developed (including schedules, deliverables lists, management plans, management of risks, technical developments, etc)
+ Breaking down work into appropriate work packages and obtaining agreements with
engineering teams
+ Preparation of cost packs and controlling budgets
+ Active monitoring & management of the project progress and milestone deliveries
+ Management of the technical solutions and developments
Project Manager experience required
+ Experience in project management and in setting up and running hardware based projects for international customers, ideally in a satellite or engineering/ aerospace industry
+ Good experience of implementing contracts
+ Familiarity with work package systems and matrix management structure preferable
A salary of £35-40,000 is accompanied by an excellent benefits package.
