International Top Tier Investment Bank seeks an Infrastructure Project Manager. Representing Infrastructure Services & Control (IS&C) as single point of contact for project delivery. Collaborating with the customer, The role entails Infrastructure Delivery Managers and IS&C managers to understand and document requirements, success criteria, priorities, expectations and commitments. Defining and documenting the detailed planning, costing and delivery approach for the implementation & support of the solution. Collaborating with the technical expertise across IS&C to define and document agreed infrastructure solution(s). Presenting infrastructure solutions, implementation & support plans, resource plans, costs and risks to customer & senior managers for commitment and approval. Day to day task and resource management to implement the infrastructure design to the agreed timetable addressing obstacles as appropriate to keep delivery on time within budget and to the agreed quality. Tracking, reporting, escalating and communicating progress, risks, issues, costs and effort to customer and IS&C as required. Demonstrating new systems/ services meet production standards, and plans have been agreed for addressing any new technology risks or changes to existing support models; or obtaining waivers for exceptions as necessary. Managing the delivery of multiple projects in parallel. Collaborating with the customer, IPM Project Managers, IS&C Technical Experts and IS&C Managers to identify, leverage and exploit opportunities to reduce/ avoid costs; share technologies; improve utilisation; pool resources; speed delivery; reduce data centre impact; ease post-implementation support; remove or mitigate risks and enhance the quality of deliverables. Contributing to the development and improvement of the IPM teams processes, procedures and tools as appropriate. Knowledge of the delivery of infrastructure products and services to Application Delivery functions, including strong generalist infrastructure knowledge. Good understanding of infrastructure technologies with in depth expertise in one or more of Unix (Solaris), Linux (Red Hat) or Windows servers; Oracle, Sybase or MSSQL Databases; Java Application Servers; Payments or Messaging Middleware; SAN Storage; Market Data solutions; WAN and LAN Networking; Grid or High-Performance Computing (HPC); or Information Security. Strong programme and project management expertise and discipline with respect to infrastructure project delivery to major business projects and programmes. Prince II preferred.
