This position is for a Project Manager within the Global Markets Information Development & Management team to work on Employee Databases integration.
With a number of years of project management experience, the ideal candidate will:
·Work with infrastructure specialists to implement connectivity options
·Work with upstream and downstream consumers to set timelines and determine priorities
·Work with relevant in-house experts to ensure transfer of data meets legal requirements
·Manage project plan from inception to completion and ensure the ongoing operational process is adequately supported
·Manage customer and stakeholder expectations at all times
·Ensure compliance of the solution with GBM project and operational standards
This is predominantly a role for someone with experience of delivering projects in a hands-on manner. The role will involve a mixture of team development and working alone at times.
Role specific responsibilities:
·Provide project Initiation, Definition, Delivery and Closure
·Manage Project budget and benefits
·Within each phase:
·Collaborate with Analysts and project sponsors to ensure the business requirement is clearly defined and documented
·Define the scope of the project, own and manage project goals, risk issues and resources.
·Chair the Project Steering Group and be responsible for the logistics of the Steering Group meetings
·Ensure that all project commitments are met, and monitor and report on progress.
·Manage appropriate approval and review process at each stage of the project.
·Perform review function for project
·Publicise and market the objectives of the Project with the rest of the business community.
·Ensure clear handover at each stage and to the business at closure
· Devise and implement own self development plan
·Liase with other project/ programme managers to ensure deliverables/ approach are consistent with the objectives of the overall programme. Identify interdependent projects and ensure these are clearly understood and articulated.Provide progress reports to relevant stakeholders.
Essential Experience: (Must have skills)
Business knowledge
·Good knowledge of Corporate Banking and/ or Global Banking Markets systems, products and procedures.
Technical knowledge
·Track record of successful managing major projects or elements of major change programmes and recognised as a project management practitioner
·Proven application of project management techniques and knowledge of project methodologies
·Stakeholder management, Relationship Management, People Management, Change Management
·Project Planning, Lifecycles and Approval Process. Risk & Issue Management
·Budget Management, Time & Resource Planning, Investment Reporting
·Third party Management
·Proficient use of project tools e.g. MS Project
·Proficient use of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Outlook
