The Background
An opportunity has arisen for a payroll support professional to join this leading global organisation to provide client support by resolving client enquiries. This is an exciting opportunity where variation of work and project involvement is guaranteed.
The Responsibilities
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, responsibilities will include:
Taking response calls from customers and to promptly and accurately log each call and respond using the helpdesk logging system
Assisting and supporting the standard payroll production, including complex and unusual payroll reports and requests
To maintain various versions of the payroll system to respond to clients needs and requirements
To review the functionality of the payroll system and propose improvements
To assist the implementation team with payroll systems implementation life cycle issues
Assist in the compilation of helpdesk related management information as and when required
Providing support for the maintenance of support documentation along with the development of staff training procedures and end user manuals
The Professional
The ideal candidate will be an experienced payroll professional with experience of facing large business areas. Proficient in HR and payroll related systems, you will have a working knowledge of payroll legislation including end of year routines. An education to A Level and any payroll certifications would be highly desirable. You will be assertive and able to make decisions quickly, the successful person will have excellent planning and organisation skills and be able to participate in a project team when needed.
