My client is an established Cognos consultancy focusing on planning, reporting and forecasting solutions for organisations across all industry sectors. With over 500 costumers UK wide this is an unrivalled opportunity for an ambitious Cognos 8 consultant with a drive to take their career to the next level.
The nature of my client's business means that you will constantly have exposure to the latest advances in Cognos technology. Successful applicants will also avail of ongoing training, development and accreditation.
Travel will be involved with this role and all travel costs are fully paid for.
The successful candidate for our role will have strong customer facing skills and a proven track record of Cognos BI projects. It is absolutely essential that you are outgoing and approachable with fluent English. You will constantly be working with client's as a representative of the Company.
Technical Essentials:
1. An ability to determine user requirements and to meet these with technical business solutions;
2. Cognos 8 Report Studio, Framework Manager, Analysis Studio;
3. ETL (DecisionStream and/ or Data Manager; DTS/ SSIS)
4. Modelling and physical database design (SQL Server 2000/ 2005);
5. BI; OLAP, Reporting within Cognos 8 toolset.
Bonus Skills:
1. Metrics Studio;
2. Query Studio;
3. Office Connection;
4. IWR;
5. Cognos 7 (Powerplay, Transformer, ReportNet, Framework Manager).
