Role:
Your role as the Principal Helpdesk will involve being `the` contact for key UK communications through ‘phone and email & forwarding communications as appropriate to engineers to enable an effective and timely response.
The secondary role is to provide a central contact for incoming product support communications via the Web.
Responsibilities Include:
•To respond promptly to customer communications by ‘phone and email, responding to all calls, forwarding as necessary to support engineers….
•To develop a thorough knowledge of current products including installation, operation and application, ensuring that information is up to date, comprehensive and effectively communicated to the customer.
•To support and liaise with UK Technical support manager, updating customer records and ensuring responses are effectively communicated to customers within agreed timescales.
•and that customer records are updated as well as ensuring that relevant databases relating to the product are also updated. Ensure that any anomalies are reported through agreed channels and raised to PLGs
•To develop and establish relationships and credibility with key contacts, ensuring the flow of information is controlled through product support, PLG and Sales as appropriate.
Experience / Qualifications:
•GCSE/ GSE Maths and English + 4 others
•2 or more years on similar customer contact role, associated with technical support, preferably associated with consumer electronics, focussed on telephone support
•Minimum of 2 years in practical consumer electronics, hands-on support activity, involving fault diagnosis, communications and problem resolution.
•Minimum of 2 years practical boating experience, sailing/ power boating skills, boat maintenance, navigation skills preferable.
•Knowledgeable of marine market and customer base
•Practical and manually dextrous, logical thought progression and knowledgeable in the field of basic electronics and marine installations.
•Ability to work unsupervised and prioritise actions
•PC literate, knowledge of Call management systems.
