NAS ENGINEER - INVESTMENT BANKING - LONDON
Configuration, support, and problem determination of the Netapp NAS hardware and software, NFS, NIS, UNIX, LDAP, and Keon, CIFS, WINS, Wintel, Active Directory, and DFS.
Top Tier Investment Bank has an urgent requirement for a High Level NAS Engineer.
You will have an exceptional level of skill in the world of NAS NetApp technology and will offer solid commercial experience, ideally within an Investment Bank.
This role will be HIGHLY CHALLENGING and will give you HANDS ON involvement with all aspects of the NAS estate.
You will join a team of 4 and assume responsibility for 65 NetApp Filers supporting over 100TB of Infrastructure.
Over the next 12-18 months, there are a huge number of large scale projects planned which you will have heavy involvement with: - Deployment, migrations, upgrades, decomms, etc.
Due to the nature a scale of the environment, this role will require a level of support work in addition to the projects but will offer superb exposure to a huge NAS estate.
Key Skills:
- Possess NetApp NAS skills demonstrating a good “hands on” working knowledge, covering configuration, support, and problem determination of the Netapp NAS hardware and software.
- Open system skills: NFS, NIS, UNIX, LDAP, and Keon
- Network skills: IP networks with skills in routing, trunking, troubleshooting (e.g. packet traces and packet dumps)
- Wintel skills: CIFS, WINS, Wintel, Active Directory, and DFS
- Other storage skills (SAN arrays, SAN fabrics, backup technologies)
- Programming (e.g. scripting) skills
