Broad knowledge of software technologies in the current market place. Expertise in one or more software development suites, e.g. Microsoft, Java, Oracle. Ownership for specific aspects of a solution. Experience of establishing and defining solutions in a specific technology area, areas of interest - 1) Data Centre hosting - Virtualisation, migration, resilence, high availability, Oracle / SQL DB hosting, web hosting, security. 2) telephony solutions - Contact centres (mainly Avaya), VoIP, IVR, ASR, CTI, call recording. Knowledge of one or more COTS packages. Knowledge of architectural principles and techniques above the physical level.
