Location: Newcastle

Network delivery and implementation ranging from integration, detailed low level design to hysical implementation; Maintain High level of Network architecture knowledge with view to handing into support; Maintain levels of security and related standards across LAN/ WAN platforms; Manage IP addressing schemas and VLAN management; Checkpoint Firewall deployments on Nokia and Netscreen platforms.Resource required for following DWP deliveries:
Storage of voice recordings for 14 months extended / variable period (VRVR)
Connection to Haden Office Services:
Enhanced URL Pilot for DWP Security
Departmental File Transfer solution to eradicate security issues
BT Secure Data Storage (Sapphire) required to eliminate security impacts
OCS Live Meeting implementation for DWP (High Profile)
BI Consolidation for migration from Peel Park
Soft Text Phone for DWP
Multi Function Kiosk for DWP restructure of Job Centre Facilities
Key Responsibilities:
Network delivery and implementation ranging from integration, detailed low level design to physical implementation.
Maintain High level of Network architecture knowledge with view to handing into support.
Maintain levels of security and related standards across LAN/ WAN platforms
Manage IP addressing schemas and VLAN management
Checkpoint Firewall deployments on Nokia and Netscreen platforms

Key Core Skills:
Cisco Switch/ Router Administration LAN/ WAN
Cisco Application Control Engine Knowledge (ACE).
Solid understanding of IP and subnetting.
Check Point NG/ NGX VPN-1/ SecurePlatform
Nokia / Nortel Firewall Devices (Check Point).
Network Analysis (including knowledge of Ethereal/ Wireshark or similar).
Work to BTGS quality standards and processes.

Additional Skills:
Cisco PIX/ ASA Administration.
PKI Integration and security / encryption technologies SSL / TLS / IPSec
RSA / Certificate Authentication knowledge
Support others in the use of planning and control tools
Ability to further develop and standardize gateway network design process, methods and techniques
Juniper SSL / IDP
ISS Proventia IDS/ IPS
Knowledge in Proxy Services, AD, DNS, IPSEC and Windows OS

Reporting:
Reports to Lead Network Technical Lead
Reports to Lead Project / Programme management for project responsibilities.
