Oracle Database Administrator - Liverpool: A leading outsourcing supplier is looking for an Oracle database Administrator competent with versions 8i, 9i and 10g. Oracle RAC environments. Oracle Application Server 10g. Oracle Applications 11i, using both Forms and Self-Service. Multi-tier systems on both Solaris and Linux. RMAN. Installation, upgrade and cloning. Understanding of Sun Solaris 2.9 / 10, Linux and Windows based operating systems. Would ideally suit someone with 5yrs + Oracle DBA experience within large installations. Strong technical DBA skills, including Oracle Applications. Experience of large mission-critical databases. Familiarity with recent versions of Oracle in both Unix and Windows environments. Knowledge of change management and problem reporting systems. Knowledge of the Unix shell and Unix scripting. The Database Administrator is responsible for the support and maintenance of all Oracle databases and associated middleware within the production and development estates and for ensuring that allocated work packages are delivered to agreed quality standards and timescales.
