The role of Planning Manager is part of the Change Planning Team which specialise in facilitating the planning of small to mid range infrastructure upgrades. The team pull together detailed technical plans ensuring that activities are executed with the utmost efficiency ensuring the success of activities such as Trading system code deployments, Website patching and Operating system upgrades
Key Responsibilities
-To assist with the co-ordination, planning and running of Change activity for the clients IT systems
-Actively carry out planning for mid size IT activities on a week by week basis
-To assist the Change Manager with the Co-ordination and flow of Change events
-To identify schedule clashes and implement solutions
-To raise risk profiles for each activity
-To ensure the smooth running of weekend activities and running of the change plans
-To facilitate and run plan walkthrough meetings
-To facilitate and run plan during activity implementation, managing communications and issue management
-To facilitate wash-up meetings and identify ongoing improvements
Other Experience and skills
-Degree Educated 2:1 or above in IT discipline.
-A high level of analytical skills
-Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
-Previous planning of small to mid scale IT infrastructure projects or change management
-Prince 2 Certification preferred but not essential
-ITIL Certification and/ or good working knowledge of and ITIL organisation
