Unix / Solaris Systems Administrator with an in depth knowledge of Red Hat Linux and Tru64, required for a position with a leading organisation in York. The successful candidate must have excellent knowledge of Unix shells and shell scripting and Unix operating systems ; Solaris, Red Hat Linux and Tru 64. As well as having experience using RISC Server Platforms, you should have experience with Unix tools and utilities and an in depth knowledge of networking protocols, such as TCP / IP, DNS and NIS. Experience of J2EE applicarion servers (WebLogic) and SAN appliance management ( HP EVA) is also required. It would be beneficial for the successful candidate to also have experience of VMs 7.x , clustering technologies (Solaris and TruCluster), Web Server (apache) configuration and management, Solaris security hardening (JASS) and HP SAN Switch configuratin and management.
