A successful IT consultancy in London seeks a Desktop and Server support engineer to work onsite with a client based at London Bridge. You will provide technical support by phone, through remote connectivity tools and site engineer experience. You will own and resolve fault callsacross a spectrum of supported products and escalate when required, while keeping the user informed of call progress at all times.
Candidates for this role must be MCP accredited in Windows 2000/ 2003, and ideally you will have an ITIL accreditation. You must have worked in an ITIL environment previously. Also essential is experience of HP technology including desktop/ printers and HP servers, ideal candidates will have a HP APS accreditation.
You must have experience working with Windows XP, 2003 Server and Exchange server 2003, as well as the installation and configuration of server hardware, operating systems (Windows) and Back office applications. Any experience with ClearCube products is highly desirable, and also Active Directory, GPO,WSUS,DNS,WINS,DHCP.
We are looking for a good communicator with previous experience in a customer-facing role. Customer interaction and positive interaction with colleagues is a very important part of this role.
