X2 Oracle Database Administrator, Permanent, Surrey with trips to Client sites in the Netherlands £35K - 42K + Benefits + Bonuses
My client is a well established rapidly growing software House based in Surrey is looking for x2 Oracle Database Administrator to join its expanding team.
The Role
You will be reporting to The Production Services Manager, you will be part of a small server / database team and responsible for the development and production environments thatmy client hosts in UK and at customer's premises (mainly European Space Agency (ESA), The Netherlands).
Skills Required
Essential
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent working experience
•Solid commercial experience as an Oracle DBA (ideally on Solaris)
•Substantial experience in following areas: Oracle product installation and configuration including RDBMS, Oracle Application server, Oracle Collaboration Suite, Oracle Identity management, Oracle RAC.
•Oracle backup and recovery
•Oracle data management
•Oracle security
•Oracle database design and tuning
•SQL& PL/ SQL
•Oracle networking (Net 8 & replication)
•Knowledge of UNIX (Pref. Solaris) system administration, Understanding of Internet security
•Experience of web-server administrator and Knowledge of Internet technologies e.g.: HTTP, Java, XML will be an asset.
•Oracle product installation and configuration
•Oracle database/ query tuning
•Developer support
•Unix server administration
