Functional Engineer to work for defence consultancy. As functional engineer you will answering customer support calls, use business applications, troubleshooting etc.

As Functional Developer / Engineer you will be:
+ investigating reported issues in order to verify their validity.
+ Verifying that closure of technical issues has been performed correctly-
+ formal testing or inspection as deemed appropriate for the particular issue.
+ Recording all verification activities, including regression scope, test plans etc in the issue management tool.
+ Attending customer progress meeting on a regular basis for the project for which you are responsible.

As functional engineer you will have the following experience:
+ responding promptly, effectively and courteously to advise and solve issues raised by our customers;
+ business applications support including: troubleshooting, specifying non-conformances in the application for technical investigation and verification of solutions provided by technical staff.
+ Knowledge of Applications, primarily in supply chain area would be a big advantage.
+ Previous experience of software development of business applications would be an advantage.
+ liaising directly with technical staff to correct software errors.
+ Be motivated and strive to ensure adherence to contracted service levels.
+ Educated to degree level in a numerate discipline would Be an advantage.
