EXCELLENT FRONT OFFICE APPLICATION SUPPORT OPPORTUNITY IN SWITZERALND
A top tier Investment Banking unit is building a team to handle front office application support. This covers front office to back office services, including trading platforms, market connectivity and real time applications (Reuters and Bloomberg).
You will be working in one of the fastest growing areas of the bank, supporting our traders and sales people in their daily business ensuring all systems and functions needed are available. Reacting quickly to traders´ and sales' specific needs, e.g. by developing Excel sheets using real time data, creating special reports using script languages etc. is an important part of the job.
The applications used are developed in-house and by third parties, they run on Windows and Solaris servers, also including Oracle and Informix databases. As a member of the IT trading systems team, you will be overseeing the application health state in test and production environments from a functional point of view, test new releases, including planning of confi guration changes. With your analytical skills, you will assist in the analysis of problems and their resolution. Working directly with the users (traders, sales, operations, and others), you
will help them to use the front offi ce systems in the best possible ways.
Requirements:
A degree or higher education in information technology, 3 – 5 years experience in the financial industry. Knowledge in derivative instruments and Front Offi ce (trader) support. Experience with Unix shell scripting and Windows application management. Experience with Oracle or other RDBMS. Familiarity with Microsoft VBA, Excel etc. Good communication skills in English. Good analytical skills for root cause analysis.
