My client, a blue chip organisation delivering innovative solutions, Outsourcing Services Division is currently recruiting for Java Support Analysts in Glamorgan. (skills Required) Java Script, JAVA, PL/ SQL (ORACLE), HTML/ XML, Java Beans, JSP, Oracle Reports, Linux, Perl, BAsh Shell, AutoSys, Polar Lake(Designer), XDoclet, Clearcase, XSLT/ Xpath, JUnit, Ant, Reder-X, Eclipse, XML-spy, FCK-Editor, J-Spell and SC Clearance..

In these roles you would be reporting to a Service Provision Manager. The roles include the following disciplines:
- experience of working in an application support and development environment
- understanding of support processes and experience of their implementation and usage in an application support scenario (preferably underpinned by a Quality Managing System/ ITIL experience)
- experience in using USD or similar call logging systems
- effective customer relationship, confident client facing and interpersonal skills
- experience of data migration & data import from a variety of sources
- application transition or service set-up experience

The roles also include the following element:
- provision of second and third line application support
- client communication;
- providing solutions to application related Incidents and Problems
- working within SLA parameters in the provision of a high quality application support service
- impact assessment in response to requests for enhancement / change
- developing, testing and implementing application enhancements
- responding to and acting on customer issues/ requests and recognition of client priorities
- liaison and communication with third-parties as required
- attendance of client meetings if necessary
- flexibility between tasks

Transition experience would also be of benefit.


Experience & Qualifications : We are looking for candidates with the following Skills, Qualification and Experience:
- Java Script
- Java

And one or more of the following technologies:
- Relational Databases PL/ SQL (Oracle)
- HTML / XML
- Enterprise Java Beans
- JSP

Desirable Skills and Qualification:
Knowledge of the following would be beneficial:
- Oracle Reports (Designer)
- Linux, Perl, BAsh Shell, AutoSys
- Polar Lake (Designer)
- XDoclet
- ClearCase
- XSLT/ XPath
- Working knowledge of JUnit, Ant, Render-X & Eclipse
- Experience of TestDirector, XML-Spy, FCK-Editor & J-Spell

IMPORTANT NOTE: Security Clearance to SC level or the ability to obtain it will be required. As a minimum, candidates should have lived and worked in the UK for at least 3 out of the last 5 years.
