Aston Carter is looking for a Contract Tester at one of our clients.
Specific responsibilities
•Analyse requirements to create test plans; test scripts; resulting in traceable functional; performance and stress test cases
•Develop, execute and maintain test scripts
•Monitor and report on the quality of software deliverables from the development teams
•Work closely with internal and external development teams
•Work closely with internal and external test teams
•Log and monitor defects according to the Defect Management Process
•Attend weekly team meetings and provide regular updates to Test Lead
•Utilise and maintain test data, scripts in Test Director
•Report on the quality of software deliverables from the development teams in Test Director
Qualifications and skill set
Essential
•Must have 18 months development test experience for test role
•Good experience in telecoms and of billing
Preferred
•An excellent understanding of Test Methodologies, the Software Lifecycle and Quality Assurance
•Unix and SQL knowledge
